What is a Library?

A Library is a content area inside the Knowledge Base. Libraries hold Pages and Clusters.

Who can use this feature?

  • Available on: Free Trial and all paid plans
  • Can create and edit Libraries: Editors, Admins, and the Owner
  • Access note: If Workspace Roles are used, they can limit which Libraries a member can access.

How it works

A Library sits at the top level of the Knowledge Base. Inside a Library, you can create Pages directly or group them into Clusters.

When no Workspace Roles are configured, all Workspace Members can see all Libraries. When a Workspace Role is assigned to a Library, only members in that role can access it.

Note Admins and the Owner can always see all Libraries, regardless of Workspace Roles.

When to use it

Use Libraries to separate content by topic, department, or audience. For example:

  • A Stylist Operations Library for service protocols and onboarding checklists
  • An HR Library for company policies and onboarding materials
  • A Health & Safety Library for sanitation standards and safety guidelines

If your team has staff who should only see specific content, use Workspace Roles to control Library access.

What you need to know

  • Editors, Admins, and the Owner can create, edit, and delete Libraries. Readers cannot.
  • Editors are subject to Workspace Role access restrictions. Admins and the Owner are not.
  • Deleting a Library removes the Pages and Clusters inside it.

Warning Deleting a Library removes all Pages and Clusters inside it. Make sure you no longer need the content before deleting it.
